A TUMBLR // WITH LOVE
A new lesson learned today

I get very, very, very annoyed when my schedule gets disturbed; but with these responsibilities and with a purpose in life, I acknowledge the fact that I should change my attitude and become more flexible when unexpected events or changes happen in between my perfectly planned schedule. Being inconvenienced is one of the many things I should begin to appreciate and permit to happen in my life. :) I battle out my temper with regards to this with a smile, and just before I burned in my anger, it’s as if as clear as my leader would talk to me, the voice of the Holy Spirit echoed in my ear giving me this reminder:

“Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men”

-Ephesians 6:7

Your grace has found me just as I am. Empty-handed but alive in Your hands.

Two sentences that keeps me grounded and thankful to Him everyday. :)

Because you’re a Christian, don’t expect everyone to love you. Because you’re a Christian, you’re expected to love everyone.

Riiiiiiiiight. :)

A reminder from the Holy Spirit. ;)

Do not take revenge, even if they do not treat you well. Do not dishonor anyone, even if they dishonor you. Do not plant rage in your heart, God’s got your back. Offer kindness to other people not because they’re kind to you, but because that’s WHO YOU ARE.

Romans 8:29
God knew what he was doing from the very beginning. He decided from the outset to shape the lives of those who love him along the same lines as the life of his Son. The Son stands first in the line of humanity he restored. We see the original and intended shape of our lives there in Him. (MSG)

LINsanity!

Sorry guys, I was out of Tumblr for a few weeks. Unfortunately, I just caught… THE LIN FEVER!

Apparently, an epidemic fever is now spreading all over the world. It’s not the One Direction Fever, not the Spring Fever, and it’s also not the Bieber Fever! IT’S THE LIN FEVER! Hahaha. Also known as the LINsanity. People who acquire this fever often use the word LINcredible, or puts the word “LIN” in every single word they could put it in such as:

LINism, LINfinity (and beyond), (everyday I’m) shuffLIN/gambLINLINdestructible, LINspirational, LINdomitable, LINk, and whatsoLINever — (OH NOOOO!!)

Anyways, here are some reasons why I love Jeremy Lin:

1.) He’s an inspirational — excuse me — LINspirational (;D) person. Whenever he plays, he’ll go for the ball no matter what, even if it causes him to fall to the floor or whatever. It teaches me a lot about life.

2.) His faith and humility inspires meeeeee. :) (LINspires)

3.) He’s so awesome in the court! There’s a lot of life and excitement in the game whenever he plays. And he doesn’t just shoot some hoops, he shows a lot of really gnarly moves and tricks. The last time I watched the NBA, NYK and CLV were againts each other. NYK lost and it definitely wasn’t the same without JLin. But I still love NYK ;)

4.) Fields and him have a very funny handshake! Hahaha.

In case you do not know, he dreams of becoming a pastor when his playing days are over. I hope it doesn’t end to soon though. :( But whatever works for the Lord, let it be done. He favors him. :)

Hey guys! I was recently surfing through the net for some Christian social networking site, and one Yahoo! article actually ranked this as the number one Christian social networking site. I joined this community just a few seconds ago. Maybe you want to try it out, too? Hehehe.

YOU ARE GOD’S FAVORITE :]

Check this out…

Eze 34:2 Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel; prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Woe to the shepherds of Israel who only take care of themselves! Should not shepherds take care of the flock?

We are accountable for every person in our life group.

Live selflessly.

Serve sincerely.

Look after them.

When you became a leader, it’s no longer about you. It’s about THEM (cliche, but true). This doesn’t mean our joy is lessened. It completes the joy of God, and if He’s happy, then our joy is complete, too. For me, it is a great honor to be chosen to lead, to serve. I realized that to be CHOSEN by God is something we could be very PROUD OF.

I mean, think about it, the King of the Universe, Creator of Heaven and earth, of all things seen and unseen, Glorious One — and the list of titles can go on — handpicked you to do this specific task. WOW.

But then again, I thought, with this kind of honor, how could I remain humble? I mean, I feel so good about this privilege that I could go around boasting to people,

“Hey, I’ve been chosen by God.”

“THE God? You mean the God of Heaven and earth??”

“Yeah! You’re right. I’m pretty special, huh? [Hahaha.]”

There was this one time when my friends and I were riding a bus to the UP Fair (KontraKultura 2012) and we were just talking about God and His awesomness. Actually, we talked about A LOT of things. Then my friend told me,

“You know what, we’re all God’s favorite because there’s something in us that He likes the most, and

it’s different in everyone of us.”

And I was like, “Yeah, you’re right. I’m God’s favorite. (with a very confident smile).”

And my friend was like, “>:O I’m also God’s favorite!!”

We just laughed it off, but in the end, I insisted, “but really, I am God’s favorite. :D”

I feel really enthusiastic about being hand-picked by God. All of us are. And true enough, we are all God’s favorite. So even if times get rough, especially in leadership, I just close my eyes, pray, and believe in my heart, “Jesus got my back.”

Whenever I’m tired and worn out and feel like I cannot go on anymore, I say Php 4.13 (I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength). It’s a common verse among us, but when I read it myself during my devotional time, it came to me as personal and as a “real” word of strength and encouragement. That’s why it has become as one of my life’s verses.

So don’t give up. Smile you pretty child! And be encouragde by God. Read the Bible. Pray. And believe in your heart that what you pray will come true, because that’s faith. God does not give us much responsibility without giving the strength and resources we need for it. And trust my words when I say: YOU ARE GOD’S FAVORITE. :)

Take this rule: whatever weakens your reason, impairs the tenderness of your conscience, obscures your sense of God, or takes off the relish of spiritual things; in short, whatever increases the strength and authority of your body over your mind, that thing is sin to you, however innocent it may be in itself.

A Letter of Joy

Go with me back in history, a couple thousand years.

Let’s go to Rome… to a rather drab little room, surrounded by high walls… Inside we see a man seated on the floor. He’s an older fellow, shoulders stooped and balding. Chains are on his hands and feet…

It is the apostle Paul… The apostle who was bound only by the will of God is now in chains — stuck in a dingy house — attached to a Roman officer…

He is writing a letter. No doubt it is a complaint letter to God. No doubt it is a list of grievances… He has every reason to be bitter and complain. But he doesn’t. Instead, he writes a letter that two thousand years later is still known as the treatise of joy — PHILIPPIANS…

Why don’t you spend some time with it? :)

Perhaps we’ll never say, “Jesus is all I need” until He is all we have.
